First things first, There are good dentists In the United states, Mexico, Columbia, the DR, Turkey and all over the world.

However, There are also less experienced dentists in all of these places as well, where treatments do go successfully.

Not all dentists have experience in doing veneers even if they say they do cosmetic dentistry

Here are the 5 things you need to know before traveling to get your veneers

  1. You need to know, What material are you getting for your veneers? Are you getting porcelain veneers or composite veneers? Porcelain veneers and composite veneers differ in price, the process, how long they last, and how you take care of them.
  2. You need to know the experience of the Dr. Do they do veneers everyday? Or just do they do veneers only once in a while? A good question to ask the dr is if they have done cases similar to yours? Also, Can they show examples of cases like yours or show cases that show the look that you’re going for. Always Ask to see before and after results of their cases.
  3. You need to know Who will be doing the actual procedure? Is it the Dr? Or their Assistant? Or one of their newer Drs? Unfortunately what we’ve heard frompatients is that the work wasn’t done by the dr they saw on social media, butsomeone else on the team and they got bad results.
  4. You need to know, How much of the teeth will they have to prep or shave for the veneers? Are they doing crowns where they remove a lot of tooth structure? Or are they going to be conservative or minimal with the shaving to the teeth? Are you getting crowns or are you getting veneers? Ask to see examples of prepped teeth.
  5. What is their warranty? What if something chips or breaks? Or what if you’re unhappy with the results. How do they handle those situations? Do you travel back? Or do they know other Dentists that they can refer you to? What we’ve seen is that if you travel out of the US, and when you come back and if you have issues, most US dentists are hesitant or will not repair your veneers that were done in another country
