Why Margot Robbie’s Smile is One of My Favourites

So Margot Robbie has a new movie coming out and I do have to say her smile is one of my most favourite smiles from a Hollywood celebrity, And there’s a couple of reasons why. First of all, I love how she just has this natural look to her smile. I love the color of her teeth because the color of her teeth is very close to the color of her eyes. I also love how the front two teeth of the central incisors are longer and how the lateral incisors get shorter and the canines have a little bit of character, a little bit of point to it. I also love how her smile is so full that she shows more than 10 teeth when she smiles. There’s so much about her smile that I love. I especially love the symmetry of it and I just love how it looks so natural and compliments her so well. So again, this is one of my most favorite Hollywood celebrity smiles.

Taylor Swift’s Smile and Her New Set of Veneers

Alright, so Taylor Swift just got a new set of veneers and she looks amazing. The veneers look amazing on her. When we look at that top photo, she had a previous set of veneers and I believe she chipped one of her teeth at a concert and there were some discrepancies in the shapes and sizes of the teeth in her prior set of veneers. When we look at her new set of veneers, we see a more uniform shape, more uniform color. The smile looks way more symmetrical and built out and again, it just looks so amazing on her. She looks amazing with her new smile.

3 Things I Avoid as a Cosmetic Dentist

Here are three things I avoid as a cosmetic dentist in order to keep my teeth looking great and keeping my mouth healthy. Number one, the first thing I avoid as a cosmetic dentist is using my teeth as tools. What I mean by that is I do not use my teeth to open packages. I do not use my teeth to bite my fingernails or chew on pen caps and things like that. I also avoid eating things like ice. There are certain things like trying to use your teeth to open things or things like ice that are just too hard for the teeth that put too much strain on the teeth causing teeth to chip, break, or wear down. So that’s number one.

I also avoid riding on electric scooters. I’ve seen so many people come into my office after an unfortunate accident with an electric scooter.
Maybe they hit a curb or hit a rock or something and end up going over the handlebars and chipping or breaking teeth that were once so pretty and great looking and now the teeth are chipped or broken. This leads them to need extensive dental work in order to restore their smile. So number two, I avoid electric scooters. And number three, I avoid smoking or vaping. Smoking and nicotine and vaping just kills your gums. It causes bone loss, tooth loss, and just so much damage to the integrity and health of your teeth and gums. It also causes staining and bad breath. So those are the three things I avoid as a cosmetic dentist to help keep my teeth looking good and healthy

Lindsay Lohan’s Smile and How it Has Changed

Lindsay Lohan looks like she’s getting younger and younger. A lot of people are wondering what facial procedures, what skin procedures she’s had, but not many people are talking about her slime. Many years ago, I think Lindsay Lohan had veneers done and I think she’s on a new set of veneers. When we look at her old smile versus her new smile, we can see how the color of the new smile is significantly brighter. We also can see that the shapes of the teeth are a little bit more youthful and more feminine. So I think Lindsay Lohan’s smile is actually helping her look younger and more youthful, more vibrant because of the color, shape, size of the teeth, as well as just how well it complements her facial features.

Michelle Monaghan’s Smile and How Celebrities Are Aging Backwards

I love how we’re seeing this trend ofcelebrities looking like they’re aging backwards. And I know there’s a lot ofdiscussion about what facial enhancements that celebrities or actresses and actors have had done, but one main thing that people keep forgetting to talk about is their smile, their teeth, and how their smile is affecting how they can look more youthful. For example this is actress Michelle Monaghan who you probably know from the last season ofWhite Lotus as well as Tom Cruise’s love interest in the Mission Impossible series. We can see that many many years ago her smile was definitely darker.

The teeth looked darker as well as the side teeth were smaller and the front teeth were a little bit larger. With a more current picture, we can see that the proportions ofthe teeth are better, the teeth look a little bit more elongated, they look brighter, and the shapes are more youthful. So versus having teeth that are a little bit flatter or more square, there’s a lot more curvature and shape and natural nuances to her smile when we look at a newer photo.

So again, you know, there’s a lot ofchanges that could have been done with the face, the eyes, the nose, the lips, the cheeks, the chin, all ofthose things, as well as we’re obviously seeing makeup in the second photo. But ifwe just focus on the teeth, even though she’s younger in the photo on the left side, we can see how her teeth look more youthful in the photo on the left. Again, the teeth are whiter. They’re a little bit longer. There’s less wear on thelook more youthful. So what do you guys think? Is this Hollywood’s secret for aging backwards?
Is itjust really the teeth?

Teeth staining

  1. Subject Line: What causes teeth staining and how can you avoid it?
  2. Text:

One of the top reasons why patients choose veneers is due to permanent and irreversible staining. Despite our best efforts, teeth can become discolored over time due to various factors like coffee, tea, red wine, or even certain medications. When regular whitenin treatments fall short, veneers step in as the ultimate solution. Not only do veneers offer a quick fix for discoloration, but they also provide strength and resilience, enhancing both the appearance and function of your teeth. Say hello to a brighter, more confident you with veneers!

TETRACYCLINE STAINING

“Tetracycline staining” refers to a type of tooth discoloration caused by the use of tetracycline antibiotics during tooth development. Tetracycline antibiotics, commonly prescribed to treat bacterial infections, can sometimes bind to calcium ions in developing teeth, resulting in a yellow or grayish-brown discoloration. This staining is intrinsic, meaning it affects the internal structure of the tooth, making it more challenging to remove through traditional whitening methods. Tetracycline staining can be particularly stubborn and may require more advanced dental treatments such as veneers or bonding to effectively conceal the discoloration and restore the appearance of the teeth.

FLOUROSIS

Fluoride, when ingested in large amounts during this critical period of tooth formation, can cause
enamel defects, leading to a range of visual changes ir the teeth. Mild cases of fluorosis may result in barely noticeable white streaks or speck: on the enamel surface, while more severe cases can lead to brown staining and pitting of the teeth. Although dental fluorosis doesn’t typically affect the function or health of the teeth, it can cause cosmetic concerns, especially when it affects front teeth.

ENVIRONMENTAL

  1. Food and Beverages: Certain foods and drinks, such as coffee, tea and red wine.
  2. Tobacco Use: Smoking cigarettes or using other tobacco products can lead to stubborn yellow or brown stains on the teeth.
  3. Poor Oral Hygiene: Inadequate brushing and flossing can allow plaque and tartar to accumulate on the teeth, leading to surface stains and discoloration
  4. Age: As we age, the enamel on our teeth naturally wears down, revealing the yellowish dentin underneath.

TIPS TO AVOID STAINING

Start with good oral hygiene habits, brushing your teeth at least twice daily and flossing every day to remove plaque and prevent surface stains. Limiting your intake of staining foods and drinks such as coffee, tea, red wine, and soda can also help. When consuming these beverages, consider using a straw to minimize contact with your teeth and rinse your mouth with water afterward to wash away pigments. If you smoke, quitting can prevent severe tooth staining. Regular dental visits for professional cleanings are essential to remove surface stains and plaque buildup. You might also explore whitening toothpaste or professional whitening treatments to maintain a brighter smile. Lastly, protect your teeth from trauma with a mouthguard during
high-impact
activities, as damaged teeth are more prone to staining

Veneer Maintenance and Oral Hygiene

Maintaining optimal oral hygiene is crucial for preserving the longevity and aesthetic appeal of dental veneers. Regular brushing and flossing, coupled with routine dental check-ups, help prevent plaque buildup and ensure the integrity of the veneers. Additionally, avoiding habits like teeth grinding and
biting hard objects can safeguard against damage to the veneers, preserving their natural appearance and functionality for years to come.

BRUSH GENTLY, BUT THOROUGHLY Start by holding the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gumline and use gentle, circular motions to brush the front, back, and chewing surfaces of each tooth. Pay special attention to the areas where your veneers meet your natural teeth, as plaque and food particles can easily accumulate there. Avoid using excessive force or scrubbing motions, as this can wear down the protective layer of your veneers and irritate your gums. Take your time and brush for at least two minutes to ensure that you thoroughly remove plaque and bacteria from all surfaces of your teeth and veneers. Finally, rinse your mouth with water after brushing to remove any remaining toothpaste residue and leave your mouth feeling fresh.

FLOSS DAILY When flossing daily, use a gentle back-and-forth motion to guide the floss between your teeth and around the edges of your veneers. Be careful not to snap or force the floss, as this can dislodge or damage the veneers. Take your time and move the floss along the curve of each tooth, ensuring you reach below the gumline to remove plaque and debris effectively.

AVOID STAINING SUBSTANCES To safeguard your veneers against staining, consider
reducing your intake of foods and beverages known to discolor teeth, such as coffee, tea, and red wine. When consuming these substances, sip through a straw to minimize contact with your veneers and rinse your mouth with water afterward. Additionally, maintaining regular dental cleanings can help remove surface stains and preserve the brightness of your veneers.

PROTECT AGAINST GRINDING To protect your veneers from the effects of teeth grinding, also known as bruxism, consider wearing a custom- fit night guard while sleeping. This device acts as a cushion, absorbing the forces exerted during grinding and preventing damage to your veneers and natural teeth. Additionally, practicing stress-reducing techniques or addressing underlying causes of bruxism can help alleviate grinding habits. Consult with your dentist to explore the best options for managing bruxism and preserving the integrity of your veneers.
